LASSO For Everyone

LASSOOsceola High School adapts to LASSO for all students.

LASSO was a heavily debated subject around school at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. Some students wanted LASSO gone, while others said they thought it was really helpful.

"I like what it's meant to be, I don't like how it's functioning now," Mrs. Cynthia Diehl said.

Students said they had trouble completing work in LASSO due to the lack of control in classes.

"Everyone there talks too much and it's loud and hard to hear," Justin Ortiz ('21) said.

Diehl said she wished she had more of her AP Music Theory students in her LASSO class.

"On a scale from one to 10, the productivity of my LASSO would be an eight because they do homework or get caught up on notes and assignments they couldn't do in class," Diehl said.

When asked if the school should get rid of LASSO, Braelyn Dunn ('21) responded "no."

"I feel like [LASSO] helps everyone in their own personal way and it's a nice calming environment," Dunn said.
